Security Operations Analyst (Junior)

About the role

PathCare is seeking a Junior Security Operations Analyst to join its Information Security team. In this role you will help protect patient data and critical healthcare systems by monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, endpoint, and network security platforms.
• Perform initial analysis and triage of incidents, identifying malware, phishing, unauthorized access, and other threats.
• Investigate, document, and maintain accurate records of security events.
• Escalate high‑risk incidents and support containment, eradication, and recovery under senior guidance.
• Assist with identity and access management activities, including user access reviews.
• Support vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, and endpoint security compliance.
• Provide basic cybersecurity guidance to users and participate in security awareness initiatives.

Required profile

• Analytical, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn.
• Strong interest in healthcare and protecting patient information.
• Motivated to work in a collaborative security operations centre.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM platforms.
• Knowledge of endpoint security solutions.
• Familiarity with network security monitoring tools.
• Understanding of vulnerability scanning and remediation processes.
• Basic identity and access management concepts.
