Sea Logistics Operational Care Specialist, Import

About the role

As a Sea Logistics Operational Care Specialist (Import) you will be at the heart of international supply chains, ensuring import shipments move efficiently while delivering exceptional service to customers. You will coordinate sea freight operations, manage documentation, and maintain end‑to‑end visibility for all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage import sea freight shipments from booking to final delivery.
• Prepare, process and maintain accurate shipping and customs documentation.
• Monitor shipment progress, provide status updates and ensure end‑to‑end visibility.
• Liaise with customers, carriers, transport providers, customs brokers and internal teams.
• Resolve shipment delays, exceptions and operational issues while maintaining service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with customs requirements, international shipping regulations and company procedures.
• Analyse operational performance and customer KPIs to support continuous improvement.
• Drive system accuracy and process adherence using SeaLOG, BPA and other operational tools.

Required profile

• Experience in freight forwarding, preferably in sea logistics import operations.
• Strong understanding of sea freight processes, shipping documentation and customs procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with great attention to detail.
• Confidence working with operational systems, Microsoft Office and digital logistics tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
