Savoury Snacks RDA Manager

About the role

Our client, a world‑leading taste and nutrition company serving the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors from Durban, South Africa, is seeking a Savoury Snacks RDA Manager. The position combines product development, customer engagement and team leadership in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day project activities, allocating resources to align with business growth strategies.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team that creates new savoury snack products or refines existing ones.
• Participate in stage‑gate and sales meetings to deepen market, product and customer knowledge.
• Contribute to account planning and manage the opportunity pipeline.
• Oversee RD&A team development, ensuring each member has a personal growth plan.
• Guarantee the team uses internal products and Building Blocks throughout development.

Required profile

• BSc in Food Science or equivalent (Master/PhD preferred).
• 8‑10+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in food and beverage.
• Proven background in food product development, especially savoury snacks and meats.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
