Sample and Design Coordinator

About the role

As a Sample and Design Coordinator you will turn design concepts into physical garments within a fast‑paced, fashion‑forward manufacturing environment. You will act as the central hub linking Sales, Design, Production and Suppliers to ensure each new style is accurately costed, sampled and handed over to production on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare product costings immediately after CAD designs are approved.
• Create detailed sample job cards and issue specification sheets to pattern makers.
• Source fabrics, trims and outwork services that meet specification, price and lead‑time requirements.
• Coordinate new trim developments and manage supplier deliveries for sampling.
• Oversee marker preparation, cutting requirements and mock‑sample approvals.
• Monitor sample progress, conduct QA inspections and resolve issues with trims, fabrics or outwork.
• Label, photograph and package approved samples for presentation to Sales and for production hand‑over.
• Maintain development records, sample rails and cutting areas in an organised manner.
