Sales Team Lead

About the role

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is seeking a dynamic Sales Team Lead to join its sales department in Gqeberha. Reporting to the Site Sales Manager, you will drive sales performance, coach a team of merchandisers and order takers, and ensure execution excellence across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets by monitoring performance and taking corrective actions.
• Allocate POS, promotional stock and merchandising support strategically to maximise sales.
• Partner with sales representatives to develop customer‑specific business plans and grow market share.
• Conduct trade visits, maintain high retail execution standards and manage dealer training.
• Coach and develop the sales team through field training, feedback sessions and performance reviews.
• Plan promotional grids, quarterly action plans and route‑to‑market strategies using data insights.
• Negotiate shelf space and promotional placements with customers.

Required profile

• 3‑year Sales or Marketing Diploma or Degree.
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG.
• Proven track record in customer development, trade execution and people management.
