Sales Support Consultant (Sandton)

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for a Sales Support Consultant in Sandton, Johannesburg, to enable the onboarding, implementation and servicing of retirement fund business in the Gauteng region. The role acts as a central coordination point between consultants, brokers, clients, internal operations teams and compliance functions, so that new business launches, requote implementations and ongoing servicing run efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Mandate and compliance: support the end-to-end mandating process, validate documentation, investigate compliance and onboarding issues, monitor AML requirements and collect outstanding information.
• New business launches: coordinate launch documentation, track progress against timelines, manage stakeholder communication and handle post-launch follow-ups.
• Requote implementation: validate documentation, monitor AML compliance, update CRM records and liaise between consultants and operational teams.
• Broker, consultant and client support: handle escalated service queries on claims, retirement fund administration, SuperFund matters and GAP products, and support Section 14 transfers.
• Reporting and governance: capture complaints in the CRM, produce Tableau and digital performance reports, and maintain operational records for audit and risk management.
• Fund education: help prepare slides for FWPAd hoc and support ad hoc team tasks.

Required profile

• Matric and NQF Level 5 or above qualification.
• Experience in employee benefits.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word and CRM.
• Accounting, data analysis, database reporting, management reporting and numeracy.
