Sales Representative – Gauteng & Surrounding Areas

About the role

We are looking for a driven external sales professional to grow our custom vehicle seat‑cover business across Johannesburg and surrounding areas. The role combines proactive new‑business development with strong relationship management, giving you full ownership of a defined territory.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, cold‑visit and pitch to dealership principals, sales and parts managers, and identify fleet opportunities.
• Conduct face‑to‑face product demonstrations using fabric swatches, sample kits and catalogues, and represent the brand at promotional events.
• Maintain regular contact with existing clients, upsell and cross‑sell to grow accounts.
• Plan and execute efficient travel routes, manage daily call cycles and report on territory performance.
• Log visits, opportunities and quotations in the CRM system and provide weekly progress reports.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of proven external B2B sales experience, preferably in the automotive aftermarket.
• Hunter mentality with a track record of generating new business through cold calling and direct prospecting.
• Self‑disciplined, able to work independently on the road without daily office supervision.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills with a professional appearance.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally, including occasional overnight trips.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for pipeline tracking and reporting.
• Ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to dealership decision‑makers.
