Business Development Specialist – Cybersecurity & Encryption Solutions

About the role

A growing specialist sales team is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to expand the customer base, grow key accounts and create new commercial opportunities within the cybersecurity and encryption space.

Key responsibilities

• Own and achieve individual sales targets across direct and reseller channels.
• Identify prospective customers, understand their challenges and open commercial conversations.
• Grow existing accounts through cross‑selling, upselling and expanding the solution portfolio.
• Manage the full sales cycle from qualification to close, invoicing and post‑sale documentation.
• Develop account plans to support retention, revenue growth and future opportunities.
• Research market trends, competitors and customer needs to uncover new opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12; tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Sales, IT or Marketing is advantageous.
• At least 5 years of B2B sales experience selling complex solutions to senior managers in mid‑tier or enterprise organisations.
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong commercial judgement, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PKI, encryption technologies and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
• Experience in ICT or cybersecurity domains.
• Proficiency with HubSpot CRM.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
