Sales Representative – Food Distribution (Sandton)

About the role

The company is a well‑established food distribution business serving the hospitality and retail sectors across Gauteng. The Sales Representative will manage existing accounts and actively pursue new customers, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality food products to restaurants, hotels and retail outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow relationships with current clients in the hospitality and retail markets.
• Identify, approach and acquire new customers throughout Gauteng.
• Present product ranges, negotiate terms and close sales to meet targets.
• Coordinate deliveries and ensure timely service in collaboration with logistics teams.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and market feedback to management.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the food industry.
• Target‑driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Strong customer relationship and communication abilities.
• Excellent time‑management, organisational and planning skills.
• Residency in Johannesburg with reliable personal vehicle for client visits.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of food products used in restaurants, hotels and retail settings.
