About the role
The client is an importer, wholesaler and distributor of European food products, serving supermarkets, deli stores and other FMCG retailers across South Africa. As a Sales Representative you will manage existing retail accounts and generate new business within the FMCG retail sector.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing retail customers.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in the FMCG retail market.
- Conduct regular store visits, manage call cycles and ensure product visibility, merchandising and shelf presence.
- Negotiate promotional opportunities and in‑store activations.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends and provide regular sales feedback and reporting.
- Follow up on orders, stock levels and customer requirements while delivering excellent customer service.
Required profile
- Proven experience calling on retail stores, supermarkets, deli stores or related accounts.
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities with a target‑driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s licence, own reliable vehicle and personal cellphone.
- Good planning and organisational skills.

- Base salary of R19 500 per month plus commission.
