Sales Representative / Executive

About the role

GEOTECH, a leading South African manufacturer of premium bakery and food ingredients, is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative/Executive to join its Cape Town team. You will be responsible for driving sales, nurturing existing client relationships and prospecting new business opportunities within the bakery, catering and food service sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Present, promote and sell GEOTECH’s product range to existing and prospective customers.
• Develop and maintain strong, responsive relationships with clients, ensuring timely follow‑up and feedback.
• Identify and resolve customer issues promptly to maximise satisfaction.
• Generate and manage sales leads, plan daily visits to trade outlets and track sales performance.
• Prepare and deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations, including at trade shows.
• Provide regular reports on market trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of products and services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, preferably within food, bakery or catering industries.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a track record of meeting sales targets.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily sales schedule.

Required skills

• Knowledge of bakery and catering product lines.
• Familiarity with sales reporting and territory analysis.
• Presentation and demonstration skills.
