Sales Lead

About the role

Hakki Africa, a fintech micro‑finance subsidiary operating across Kenya, India, Thailand and South Africa, is looking for a results‑driven Sales Lead to own its driver acquisition strategy. You will manage a small team of Sales Consultants, drive high‑value partnerships and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for gig‑economy drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and manage Sales Consultants focused on driver acquisition and onboarding.
• Set and monitor individual and team targets for lead generation, conversion and active driver recruitment.
• Conduct pipeline reviews, 1:1 coaching sessions and performance management in collaboration with the Head of Operations.
• Develop and execute the overall driver acquisition strategy, targeting high‑value leads and strategic partnerships.
• Oversee consultations with prospective drivers to clearly communicate leasing terms and program benefits.
• Identify key locations, driver communities and outreach channels to expand fleet utilisation.
• Analyse market demand and driver supply to inform hiring and resource planning.
• Build and manage referral programmes, partnerships and targeted outreach campaigns.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in sales, business development or customer acquisition.
• At least 1‑2 years of experience leading or mentoring a sales team, preferably in automotive, mobility services or fleet leasing.
• Proven track record of meeting recruitment or sales targets.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
