Sales Executive – Exhibitions

About the role

The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) is seeking a proactive Sales Executive to drive exhibition sales. You will join a collaborative team focused on delivering exceptional service and achieving revenue targets in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential exhibitors for consumer and trade shows.
• Prepare and present tailored sales proposals and sponsorship packages.
• Manage key client accounts, understand their objectives, and develop plans to increase spend.
• Generate new business opportunities and achieve personal and show sales targets.
• Collaborate with marketing and operations on campaigns, collateral, and target initiatives.
• Maintain accurate client information in CRM and produce regular sales activity and pipeline reports.
• Respond to enquiries within 24 hours, conduct site inspections, and deliver presentations on‑site or off‑site.
• Negotiate rates within the authorised framework and provide feedback to improve product and service delivery.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within exhibitions or events.
• Goal‑oriented with a commitment to meeting and exceeding targets.

• Experience using CRM systems to manage client relationships and sales pipelines.
