Sales Executive – Durban

About the role

The Sales Executive will be responsible for maintaining and growing market share within the corporate franchise and food industry client bases in the assigned region. The role focuses on acquiring new franchisees, replacing ageing equipment, and promoting value‑adding products to enhance client businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Actively acquire new franchisees and expand the client base.
• Identify and replace equipment older than five years.
• Advise clients on new products and sell solutions that add value.
• Secure planned roll‑outs for the year and target new franchise stores through meetings, visits and cold calling.
• Hand over stores in other provinces to relevant branch managers and follow up to close deals.
• Negotiate pricing within approved parameters.
• Ensure installations are completed correctly, verify invoicing, and obtain signed confirmations from technicians and customers.
• Maintain client relationships by visiting or calling each client at least twice a year.
• Report weekly and bi‑monthly to the Regional Manager on client status, roll‑outs, outstanding monies and strategic initiatives.
• Provide budget inputs to the Regional Manager and Finance Department.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably within franchise or food‑industry environments.
• Ability to acquire new customers, negotiate pricing and manage project roll‑outs.
• Strong client‑relationship skills with a focus on regular follow‑up.
• Competence in preparing accurate invoices, checklists and reporting documentation.
• Capability to contribute to budgeting and cost‑management processes.
