Sales Consultant – Short Term Insurance

About the role

Old Mutual is hiring a Sales Consultant in Johannesburg to deliver quality sales service that generates business from new and existing sources and supports the company's profitability and growth. The role involves handling incoming and outgoing sales calls, guiding customers through products and pricing, and managing leads and targets.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming and outgoing sales calls according to schedules, campaigns and targets.
• Guide customers by telephone through product offering, pricing, terms and conditions.
• Provide accurate and efficient quotations and maintain agreed lead-to-sale, lead-to-quote and quote-to-sale ratios.
• Manage allocated leads and sell according to daily targets.
• Maintain a 90% QA average on all calls and capture all customer data accurately.
• Finalise calls at point of contact where possible and forward policy documents within mandated timeframes.
• Work shifts as scheduled, manage time and workload to meet deadlines, and deal professionally with all customers.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of products, campaigns and conditions to recommend the right solution.

Required profile

• Matric or NQF Level 4 qualification.
• 2 years of short term insurance experience.
• Credit clear and criminal clear.
• NQF Level 3 and Level 2 education listed as acceptable.
