Sales Consultant - Construction

About the role

SITECH SA, a subsidiary of the OPTRON Group and part of the global Trimble distribution network, is looking for a Sales Consultant (Construction) based at its Head Office in Centurion, South Africa. The post reports to the General Manager and focuses on generating new business and revenue growth through proactive sales.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales performance against set targets and promote the OPTRON brand while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Research customer needs and pain points and offer quality solutions.
• Identify new sales and market opportunities in the allocated region and keep in touch with loyal, repeat customers.
• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecasts to the National Sales Manager.
• Maintain accurate sales records using the CRM software and follow an efficient sales process.
• Keep product knowledge current, attend regional product launches and liaise with the National Sales Manager and product specialists on marketing campaigns.
• Build long-term relationships with key customers, deliver professional service and ask for feedback to improve products and services.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Management or Sales, or a construction or engineering qualification.
• 5+ years of B2B technical sales in the construction industry.
• Proven record of acquiring new business.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle; company pays for business kilometres.
• Willingness to travel extensively in the allocated region.
