Sales Consultant – Banking Products

About the role

The Sales Consultant will promote and sell the bank’s full range of products to both existing and prospective clients. You will be responsible for generating new leads, nurturing relationships, and meeting sales targets while adhering to the bank’s compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve customer growth, revenue, and collection targets set by the bank.
• Execute outbound calling campaigns, respond to inbound requests, and convert leads into sales.
• Develop and maintain business relationships with clients to generate cross‑selling and up‑selling opportunities.
• Conduct professional financial needs analyses to recommend appropriate products.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and prospect data, and provide regular reporting to management.
• Support branch marketing initiatives, referrals, and community events.
• Ensure compliance with risk and fraud controls, including biometric verification.
• Manage cash, CAM, and credit‑card administration tasks as authorized.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF level 6 qualification aligned with FSCA or related business field (RE5 preferred).
• At least 2 years of sales and client‑service experience, with full product knowledge across all categories.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed individual activity metrics and sales targets.
• Strong analytical mindset for financial needs assessment.
