Sales and Business Manager – Howick

About the role

Our client in the roofing and building materials sector, based in the KwaZulu‑Natal Midlands, is seeking a motivated Sales Executive who will also take on Business Manager responsibilities. The role requires a hands‑on individual who will take ownership, work independently and help develop systems, processes and new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
• Establish and nurture key client relationships.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Assist with day‑to‑day management and strategic growth initiatives.
• Manage customer relationships and ensure high service standards.
• Apply business management competencies and maintain professional conduct.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of sales and business development experience.
• Previous management or business leadership experience is advantageous.
• Experience in roofing, steel, building materials, construction or manufacturing preferred.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding.
• Proven ability to generate new business and manage customer relationships.
• Based in or willing to work from Howick and surrounding areas.
• Entrepreneurial, self‑motivated and target‑driven.
• Comfortable working in a startup environment and balancing sales leadership with business management duties.

• Salary starting from R20,000 per month, dependent on experience, qualifications and demonstrated capabilities.
