Sales A&I Manager

About the role

P&G is looking for a Sales A&I Manager in its Johannesburg General Office. You will lead the Analytics & Insights team, shaping business and customer strategy through consumer, market and retailer insights. The role reports to the Director of Analytics & Insights for P&G South Africa and works with analytics and insights professionals across retailer analytics and consumer research.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex analytics and end-to-end consumer research, translating quantitative and qualitative data into clear strategic recommendations.
• Partner with leadership teams and retailers to activate the insights.
• Use tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Excel to simplify large data sets, build dashboards and enable consistent data mining and decision-making.
• Lead work across multifunctional teams including Sales, Finance, Marketing, Strategy and retailer-facing teams.
• Work with senior business leaders, internal sales teams, retailer leadership and external research and data partners.

Required profile

• University degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or Business Science, with strong technical mastery and a passion for consumer insights and research.
• Preferred: 3-5 years in a multinational consumer goods or retail environment in a similar or related role.
• Demonstrated expertise in market, customer and consumer analysis, combining quantitative and qualitative sources to identify trends and opportunities.
• Proven ability to lead consumer research and analytics projects end to end, manage external agencies or data partners and deliver on time.
• Experience owning enterprise or corporate data and analytics initiatives, including governance, reporting routines, adoption and value delivery.

Required skills

• Power BI and Microsoft Excel, including large-data-set analysis, data modelling, dashboard development and visualisation of business performance.
• AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude Code to speed up analysis, research, data interpretation and automation.
