Salaried Financial Advisor

About the role

Old Mutual is hiring a salaried Financial Advisor in Standerton. The role gives advice on a defined range of products to a specific allocated market, and the person is individually accountable for achieving results through their own effort. It is a FAIS-regulated position (Category B), so candidates must meet FAIS requirements, including honesty and integrity and relevant qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial advice in line with the customer value proposition and the compliance framework, working in a specific allocated market with a specific range of products.
• Manage your own time, tasks and output quality for periods of 1 day up to 3 months, and broaden your skills.
• Build sound working relationships and use effective communication techniques to win client acceptance.
• Develop, track and review your business plan to meet individual performance targets, with limited prospecting.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Valid driver's licence and own car.
• FAIS compliance: clear criminal and credit check.
• At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in sales.

Required skills

• Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Presentations skills are an added advantage.
