SAICA Trainee Accountant – 36-Month Finance Management Programme

About the role

The South African Breweries (SAB) is an accredited SAICA Training Office offering a 36‑month Finance Management Trainee Programme. As a SAICA Trainee Accountant you will gain comprehensive exposure to accounting, auditing, taxation and financial management while working towards the CA (SA) qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in structured rotations across finance functions such as Accounts to Report, Risk, Tax, Cash, Treasury and Financial Control.
• Assist with day‑to‑day accounting, audit support, tax compliance and financial reporting tasks.
• Apply analytical skills to solve finance‑related problems and contribute to process improvements.
• Collaborate with senior Chartered Accountants and receive mentorship throughout the programme.

Required profile

• Final year or completed Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from a SAICA‑endorsed programme.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to new challenges.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong command of MS Office applications.
