SAICA & SAIPA Clerk – Pretoria North

About the role

Our client in the auditing sector is seeking a SAICA and SAIPA Clerk to support its finance team in Pretoria North. The role involves handling day‑to‑day bookkeeping, preparing tax submissions and assisting senior accountants with audit‑related tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, receipts and payments using accounting software.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger entries.
• Prepare VAT, PAYE and SARS submissions.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
• Generate routine financial reports and support month‑end closing.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with Accounting and Mathematics.
• Currently studying or holding a BCom Accounting, SAIPA or SAICA qualification.
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations and tax compliance.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Experience with accounting packages such as Pastel, Xero, Sage, Draftworx or CaseWare.
