SaaS Project Manager

About the role

An experienced SaaS Project Manager is sought to lead end-to-end delivery and implementation of SaaS solutions. The role manages multiple projects, coordinates cross-functional technical and business teams and ensures solutions are delivered on time, within scope and aligned with customer and business requirements. The position is listed as a contract.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end SaaS implementation projects, from initiation and requirements gathering through deployment, go-live and post-implementation support.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets and resource requirements.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, product, operations, customer success, vendors and business stakeholders.
• Manage software configuration, system integrations, data migration, testing and deployment.
• Facilitate kick-offs, status meetings, steering committees and stakeholder engagements.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies and scope changes.
• Manage customer onboarding and implementation, and support change management, training and user adoption.
• Work within Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies and track KPIs and deliverables.
• Coordinate UAT, go-live readiness and production deployment, and run post-implementation reviews.

Required profile

• Matric and a Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in IT, computer science, business, project management or a related field.
• Proven experience managing technology, software or SaaS implementation projects across the full lifecycle.
• Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities, and with cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder, customer and vendor management experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and traditional project management methods.
• Project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Monday.com or MS Project.
• Understanding of SaaS/cloud environments; advantageous: PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master or Agile certification, and exposure to APIs, integrations and data migration.
