RF Engineer – Tier 3 – Wireless Network Optimization

About the role

We are looking for a technically strong, hands‑on RF Engineer (Tier 3) to support the performance, optimisation and reliability of ikeja's wireless network. This role sits within Network Operations and works closely with Tier 4 engineers, NOC, field technicians and installers to ensure high‑quality service for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse network performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with network planning, optimisation and wireless infrastructure enhancements.
• Troubleshoot RF and network‑related issues to maintain service quality and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and problem resolution to field technicians and installation teams.
• Support customer‑impacting escalations and contribute to effective fault resolution.
• Configure and maintain network equipment according to operational requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement network improvements.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and records.
• Participate in standby and after‑hours support activities as needed.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives across the network.

Required profile

• Grade 12/Matric certificate.
• Relevant qualification in Telecommunications, Networking, Electronic Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented and passionate about wireless networking.
• Comfortable troubleshooting complex RF issues and performing network analysis.
• Ability to support field teams remotely and on‑site.
