Reverse Logistics Team Leader

About the role

Maersk is seeking a Reverse Logistics Team Leader to oversee the day‑to‑day processing of returned appliances from customers, retailers, branches, factories and cross‑dock facilities. The role ensures that returned goods are inspected, classified, recorded, transferred in the system and routed to the correct storage locations while maintaining safety and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Control and optimise the receipt, storage and dispatch of defective goods to assigned bin locations.
• Conduct regular inspections and root‑cause analyses with clients on returned and damaged stock, packaging and location issues.
• Maintain accurate crediting and processing of returns, ensuring all databases are up‑to‑date.
• Assign personnel for receiving, storing and dispatching defective graded stock and for consolidating inventory to free up space.
• Prioritise reworks in coordination with the Reverse Supervisor and ensure timely completion of planned reworks with clients.
• Oversee inventory control procedures to guarantee defect stock accuracy and availability.
• Manage team performance indicators, resource allocation and the security of goods.
• Ensure safety instructions are applied and adhered to by all team members.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and manage a logistics team.
• Strong focus on safety compliance and security of goods.
• Experience in resource planning and performance monitoring.
• Ability to conduct root‑cause analysis and work closely with clients on return issues.
