About the role

We are looking for an experienced Retail Sales Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our Cape Town store. You will be responsible for driving sales, managing inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a retail team to achieve sales targets and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee stock control, inventory management and visual merchandising.
  • Analyse sales data, forecast trends and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, handling queries and complaints promptly.
  • Conduct recruitment, training, performance reviews and scheduling for store staff.
  • Manage cash handling, reconciliations and daily reporting.
  • Ensure store presentation, promotional execution and compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and identify business growth opportunities.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures and lead regular team meetings.

Required profile

  • 4–5 years of retail sales experience.
  • 2–3 years in a retail management role.
  • Background in industrial hardware, steel or fluid control sectors.
  • Strong leadership, analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure environment.
  • Confident, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
