Retail Sales Assistant – V&A Waterfront

About the role

Join a vibrant retail destination at the V&A Waterfront, where outdoor enthusiasts shop for adventure gear. As a Retail Sales Assistant you will deliver exceptional customer service, showcase Thule products and support the store’s daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, understand their needs and guide them to suitable products.
• Demonstrate and explain Thule gear, including installation advice.
• Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising standards and product displays.
• Process sales transactions accurately and handle cash.
• Monitor inventory, replenish stock and assist with regular stock counts.
• Support in‑store promotions, events and promotional displays.
• Address customer queries and complaints professionally, escalating when necessary.
• Follow company policies and stay updated on product knowledge and promotions.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of retail or customer‑facing sales experience.
• Reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.
• Available to work weekends and public holidays.
• Passion for outdoor activities, travel or adventure gear.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
