Retail Business Consultant – Talent Pool (Bloemfontein)

About the role

The Retail Business Consultant will build and nurture long‑term partnerships with Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) in Bloemfontein. By delivering product, market and sales intelligence, the consultant will help IFAs improve their business performance and position Momentum as a thought‑leader in financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Visit IFAs and their offices according to a defined plan to understand needs and promote Momentum’s value proposition.
• Analyse and monitor weekly activities, aiming to exceed sales and production targets.
• Present professional, disciplined communication, including meeting agendas and minutes.
• Develop deep, meaningful relationships that move IFAs from passive to active supporters and ambassadors.
• Educate IFAs on Momentum products, acting as their primary source of information.
• Enable better financial planning outcomes for IFAs and their clients.

Required profile

• 3‑year BCom degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Finance or Legal (essential).
• Willingness to study towards the degree with prior‑learning recognition if 3+ years experience in MDS.
• CFP® qualification is an advantage.
• 3–5 years experience in the financial services industry (desired).
• 1–3 years relevant sales experience (essential).
• Experience with Momentum Myriad and Investo products is a plus.
• Strong business acumen with knowledge of risk assessments, claims, underwriting, tax and business assurance.
