Retail Branch/Store Manager – George, Western Cape

About the role

The Retail Branch/Store Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the George store, ensuring sales targets are met, staff are well‑managed and customers receive excellent service. This full‑time, on‑site position reports directly to regional management and requires a hands‑on approach to daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and direct day‑to‑day store activities, including opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and promote store offerings.
• Ensure the store is attractive, clean and well‑presented at all times.
• Recruit, schedule and train a team of four staff members, providing adequate time‑off and coverage.
• Achieve sales and profitability targets while controlling costs.
• Implement merchandising standards and manage product displays.
• Oversee inventory management, stock counts, ordering and supplier relationships.
• Maintain accurate branch administration and safeguard company assets.

Required profile

• Matric certificate.
• 5–7 years of retail management experience.
• Proven ability to lead a small team and meet sales targets.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with retail ERP systems.

What we offer
