Retail Branch Manager – Eshowe

About the role

Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) is a leading financial services provider in South Africa. As a Retail Branch Manager in Eshowe you will lead the branch, grow the customer base and revenue, and ensure an excellent client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the retail branch strategy to increase sales and revenue.
• Guide, integrate and standardise activities of Sales Consultants in line with the strategy.
• Lead a service‑delivery culture to provide optimal client experience.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, business planning and compliance.
• Oversee people practices for direct reports, including talent management and performance.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service activities.
• Identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders to build relationships.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5.
• 120 Wealth Management credits OR tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Class of Business accreditation (annual) and CPD compliance.
• Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending experience.
