About the role

Join a busy, well‑known venue in Hermanus as part of the front‑of‑house team. You will work in a fast‑paced environment with high covers and regular walk‑ins, delivering attentive service while handling pressure with a friendly attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, taking food and drink orders accurately.
• Provide well‑paced table service throughout the shift, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Build rapport with guests and upsell menu items where appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and guest‑ready section at all times.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate order timing.
• Handle bills, payments, and cash‑ups correctly.
• Support the wider team during busy periods and turnover.

Required profile

• Minimum 1‑2 years of waitering experience in a busy restaurant or similar venue.
• Confident, friendly manner with strong communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure.
• Smart, presentable appearance.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Reliable team player.
