About the role

Karen Tupper Recruitment is advertising a full-time Restaurant Manager position in the Western Cape, South Africa. The manager oversees daily restaurant operations, maintains high standards of food, beverage and guest service, and leads the restaurant team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure efficient, seamless service delivery.
• Maintain exceptional standards of food, beverage and guest service.
• Lead, motivate and manage the restaurant team to achieve operational objectives.
• Ensure smooth and efficient operations during high-volume service periods.
• Monitor stock control, operational efficiency and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally.
• Work closely with the kitchen and management teams to maintain service standards and achieve business objectives.

Required profile

• South African citizen with a Matric / Grade 12 qualification and a relevant hospitality qualification.
• Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in high-end A la Carte dining and deli operations, and in managing high-volume service environments.
• Must reside in the Cape Winelands and own reliable transport.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
