About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Baker to join our Italian restaurant in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a wide range of high‑quality baked goods, from breads and pastries to elaborate cakes, ensuring consistency and creativity in every item.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, cakes, pastries, and other items according to recipes and standards.
• Develop new bakery products and seasonal specials to enhance the menu.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Manage inventory of baking supplies and place orders as needed.
• Ensure all baked goods meet presentation and taste expectations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional baking or pastry chef experience.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Strong creative drive and passion for baking.
• Excellent references from previous employers.
