Reservationist

About the role

The Reservationist manages all accommodation bookings for the hotel, ensuring a smooth experience from the first enquiry through to guest arrival. This position plays a vital part in maximising occupancy, enhancing guest satisfaction and supporting revenue goals.

Key responsibilities

• Handle room reservations received via phone, email, online platforms and the hotel website using Opera PMS.
• Process new bookings, amendments, cancellations and special requests accurately.
• Maintain up‑to‑date guest profiles, room inventory and billing information.
• Monitor availability, prepare daily arrival, departure and occupancy reports.
• Respond promptly to guest enquiries, provide information on rates, facilities and local attractions, and coordinate special requests.
• Promote upgrades, packages and upsell hotel services to increase revenue.
• Liaise with Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance and other departments to ensure seamless guest arrivals and departures.
• Process deposits, payments and refunds and ensure accurate reservation documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ practical experience using Opera Property Management System.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
