Reservation Manager

About the role

As the Reservation Manager for Mama Shelter Cape Town, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring every booking reflects the brand’s vibrant personality. You will play a pivotal role in the hotel’s pre‑opening phase, setting up reservation processes and supporting a seamless guest experience from inquiry to arrival.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all reservation activities, processing bookings accurately and efficiently in line with Mama Shelter standards.
• Create personalised guest interactions from the first enquiry, capturing preferences and special requests.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management and Sales teams to monitor booking patterns and maximise occupancy.
• Support the set‑up of reservation systems, standards and procedures ahead of the hotel opening.
• Maintain up‑to‑date reservation records, room inventory and guest information across all systems.
• Coordinate closely with Front Office, Sales, Revenue and Operations teams to ensure a unified guest journey.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of bookings.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑centric mindset.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
• Flexibility to adapt processes during the dynamic pre‑opening period.
