Remote Preconstruction & Project Coordinator

About the role

Avondale Equities is seeking a remote Preconstruction & Project Coordinator to support its technology‑driven construction operation. Working directly with the Director of Construction, you will initially focus on estimating and pre‑construction tasks, with a clear path toward broader project‑management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, civil, MEP and consultant drawings to identify coordination issues, scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Prepare trade‑specific RFPs, bid packages, scope sheets and subcontractor exhibits.
• Source qualified subcontractors, distribute bid packages, manage follow‑ups and evaluate bids.
• Validate construction costs through market research, historical pricing and supplier quotes; identify value‑engineering opportunities.
• Draft RFIs and coordinate outstanding questions with consultants, designers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist with project schedules, procurement schedules and long‑lead item tracking.
• Assemble comprehensive project budgets, including trade costs, allowances, contingencies and risk items.
• Support active project phases by managing RFI, submittal, procurement and design‑coordination logs as the role expands.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction pre‑construction, estimating or project coordination.
• Ability to interpret and analyze multidisciplinary construction drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and capacity to turn incomplete information into actionable decisions.
• Self‑starter with a collaborative mindset, able to work remotely across time zones.
