Remote Part-Time Bookkeeper (QuickBooks)

About the role

This is a remote, part-time position supporting the finance function of a care agency that oversees 130 payroll carers and 200 active clients. Working about 10 to 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling, the role manages transactional records, client income and expenses and supplier distributions. It centres on maintaining ledgers and reconciling accounts in QuickBooks Online.

Key responsibilities

• Manage QuickBooks Online, allocate incoming and outgoing payments accurately and log all incoming invoices.
• Reconcile bank accounts regularly and prepare supplier payment schedules for final approval.
• Check and verify carer timesheets to prepare accurate payroll information.
• Produce monthly financial reports, track client income and expenses and file invoices in designated digital directories.
• Support the finance team in overseeing transactions across the annual budget.

Required profile

• Previous UK bookkeeping experience.
• Reliable, organised professional based in South Africa, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Availability for flexible part-time hours (10-20 hours per week), including some UK business hours.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
