Remote Online ESL Teacher for Young Learners (South Africa)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic South African educators to teach English to young learners in Asia from the comfort of your home studio. The role is part‑time, scheduled between 12 PM and 4 PM SAST, Monday to Sunday, and offers immediate start with full training.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age‑appropriate English lessons to children via video‑conference platforms.
• Maintain a lively on‑camera presence and use physical teaching methods such as Total Physical Response (TPR).
• Prepare lesson materials and adapt content to suit diverse learner needs.
• Provide feedback and track student progress in line with curriculum standards.

Required profile

• South African citizen with a vibrant teaching personality.
• Comfortable performing on camera and committing to consistent afternoon hours.
• Tertiary qualification and a completed 120‑hour TEFL, TESOL, TEYL or CELTA certification.
• At least two years of online English teaching experience.
• Clear, neutral English accent and no criminal record.

Required skills

• Computer literate with ability to navigate online teaching platforms.
• Technical setup: PC with Intel Core i5 (or better) CPU, 8 GB+ RAM, 20 Mbps+ fiber internet via LAN cable.
• HD webcam, noise‑cancelling headset and UPS backup to handle load‑shedding.
• Well‑lit, professional teaching space suitable for young learners.
