Remote Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Designer

About the role

Our client, a leading Building Services Consultancy, is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Designer to join their fully remote team. You will work on a variety of high‑profile commercial, residential, healthcare, education and industrial projects across the UK, delivering design solutions from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed Mechanical and Electrical design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Develop coordinated building services layouts for diverse project types.
• Assist with HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, lighting, power and public health system designs.
• Prepare technical documentation, schedules, specifications and supporting calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations, British Standards and CIBSE guidance.
• Coordinate designs with architectural and structural teams.
• Participate in remote project meetings and client discussions.
• Incorporate design changes and support delivery from concept to completion.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Mechanical & Electrical or Building Services Design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with Revit MEP and BIM workflows.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and building services standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team.
• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
