Remote Litigation Attorney (South Africa)

About the role

AKB Law is seeking a Remote Litigation Attorney based in South Africa to join its U.S. employment law team. This full‑time independent‑contract position involves handling active employment litigation matters in federal and state courts across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth legal research on employment law issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other court‑ready documents.
• Develop litigation strategies and provide analytical support.
• Collaborate closely with Managing Attorney Amber K. Boyd, Esq., who reviews all work product.
• Maintain high‑quality written work that directly impacts case outcomes.

Required profile

• Licensed attorney with substantive litigation experience, preferably in employment law.
• Detail‑oriented, highly analytical and capable of producing polished written work.
• Ability to work independently on a 40‑hour weekly schedule from South Africa.
• Willingness to engage in long‑term mentorship with U.S. counsel.
