Remote Appointment Setter (Payaca/AirCall) - UK Hours

About the role

An Irish-based management consultancy is scaling its fully remote telephone sales team and is hiring an Appointment Setter. You will be the first point of contact for warm, inbound enquiries from people interested in solar panels, heat pumps or both. This is a non-cold-calling role: every contact comes from marketing-generated leads. The position is full time, paid 20,000 to 25,000 ZAR, with UK working hours Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Engage warm and hot prospects by inbound and outbound calls, using only high-intent marketing leads.
• Follow structured Pre-Proposal and Post-Proposal call flows to guide customers through each stage.
• Walk customers through an online estimate tool using their UK postcode to give indicative panel counts, battery sizes and costs.
• Gather property and customer details and log interactions and call outcomes in the CRM (Payaca) and telephony system (Aircall).
• Handle objections and follow up after proposals to move customers toward a survey or appointment.
• Book 30-minute specialist calls for customers with complex technical questions.
• Maintain targets of about 100-200 numbers dialed daily with a contact/conversation rate of around 50%, and take part in coaching, call reviews and role-plays.

Required profile

• Native or near-native English with a clear, professional telephone manner.
• Prior experience in telesales, telemarketing, customer service or phone-based sales qualification is essential.
• Ability to work UK business hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM GMT/BST) from a quiet home office in South Africa or the Philippines with stable, high-speed internet.
• Comfortable with basic numbers and technical concepts; no prior solar or heat pump experience needed.
• Preferred: proven UK market experience and ability to follow scripts naturally.

Required skills

• Confident use of CRM and VoIP systems, with quick adaptability to Payaca and Aircall.
• Independence and reliability in a fully remote setting, with coachability.
