Remote Accountant – Financial Controller (US Company)

About the role

This is a full‑time remote Accountant position for a US‑based company. You will act as a financial controller, handling the company’s books, planning, reporting and risk analysis while working directly with the executive team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the company’s general ledger and bookkeeping records.
• Prepare financial statements, profit and loss reports, balance sheets and forecasts.
• Develop and monitor financial plans and budgets.
• Conduct risk analysis and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Support the executive team with financial insights and decision‑making.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Proven experience in financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, forecasts).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information securely.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
• Willingness to work on US time zones.
• Professional remote work environment with fast internet, a second monitor and a capable computer.
