Remote Accountant / Controller (Multi‑entity, QuickBooks)

About the role

We are a portfolio of four US‑based small businesses, including a growing restaurant operation. We need a senior offshore accountant/controller to own day‑to‑day accounting, month‑end close, and financial reporting across four QuickBooks Online entities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping for four QuickBooks Online company files, including bank and credit‑card feeds, receipts, bills, AP schedules and payment runs.
• Perform month‑end close activities: reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepaid tracking, fixed‑asset and inter‑company entries.
• Deliver clean, tax‑ready books and monthly P&L, balance‑sheet and cash‑flow reports with plain‑English commentary.
• Build and update rolling cash‑flow forecasts for each entity and highlight key financial trends.
• Design and maintain QuickBooks Online class/location structures for accurate multi‑location restaurant reporting.
• Own POS/payroll workflows (Toast preferred), reconcile POS and merchant‑processor payouts, and resolve mapping issues.

Required profile

• Autonomous, detail‑oriented professional who surfaces issues early.
• Senior‑level experience in multi‑entity accounting and month‑end close.
• Comfortable working remotely with owners across different time zones.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online
• Toast POS (or similar POS reconciliation experience)
