About the role

The Department of Correctional Services is advertising two Registration Clerk positions (reference HO 2026/11/100) based at Zonderwater Training College. The appointment is made under the Public Service Act and carries an annual salary of R237 453.

Key responsibilities

Manage archives and registry sections
Transfer records to archives and withdraw records from archives and the registry
Dispose of files and keep departmental files safe
Perform general filing and manage assets
Control the uniform filling system

Required profile

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
Computer literate
Experience in a similar environment is an advantage
Foundational understanding of registry work

Required skills

Job knowledge and understanding of the work in registry
Good communication, interpersonal relations, report writing and presentation skills
Time management, confidentiality and professional integrity
Understanding of public service policy and legislative framework, and service delivery and client orientation
