Registered Nurse | Neonatal ICU Experienced

About the role

Life Roseacres Hospital is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high‑quality care to newborns and supporting their families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic and specialised nursing care to NICU patients in line with clinical protocols.
• Communicate regularly with patients' families about condition and progress.
• Administer medication according to legal and ethical standards.
• Review and adhere to internal policies, quality management systems and infection‑control procedures.
• Advocate for patients, coordinate with doctors, and report any concerns.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, offering training and development.
• Manage stock, staff hours and leave in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain a safe environment, complete SHEQ alerts and incident reports.
• Ensure equipment is functional daily and educate staff on proper use.
• Accurately record and store patient information following legal requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in Nursing.
• Proven NICU experience; qualification in neonatal care is essential.
• Current registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body.
• Understanding of the private healthcare sector and its challenges.
