Phlebotomy Technician / Staff Nurse – Fourways Cedar Tree

About the role

An opportunity exists for a Phlebotomy Technician/Staff Nurse to join the team at our Fourways Cedar Tree branch in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in phlebotomy, uphold high ethical standards and align with PathCare values.

Required profile

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate or Phlebotomy Technician qualification, registered with SANC/HPCSA
• Minimum of 2 years post‑registration experience
• Valid Code B driver’s licence (manual transmission)
• Client‑focused with excellent attention to detail
• Adaptable team player with initiative and problem‑solving ability
• Effective communication, compassion and stress resistance
• Fluent in English with an understanding of Afrikaans
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays

Required skills

• Phlebotomy techniques, including order of draw
• Operation of point‑of‑care instruments such as Hemocue and Stratus
• Arterial blood gas analysis on dedicated machines
• Computer literacy with knowledge of Skylims (advantageous)
