Registered Nurse – Maternity/Obstetrics (RN)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in maternity and obstetrics to join a private healthcare facility in Vanderbijlpark on a part‑time, temporary basis. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care within the nursing scope of practice and supporting the obstetric team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to maternity and obstetrics patients.
• Adhere to patients’ rights and maintain professional standards at all times.
• Identify, report, and manage medico‑legal risks.
• Conduct patient‑care audits and ensure accurate record‑keeping in line with legal requirements.
• Manage stock and equipment according to client policies.

Required profile

• Immediate availability.
• Valid South African Nursing Council (SANC) licence.
• Post‑qualification experience in maternity/obstetrics wards.
• Competence in demonstrating and assessing relevant clinical procedures.
• Strong understanding of the nursing scope of practice and patient care principles.
