Registered Nurse - ICU (Experienced)

About the role

Join Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital as an experienced ICU Registered Nurse. You will provide holistic, patient‑centred care within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safety and high‑quality outcomes for critically ill patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for ICU patients and their families.
• Coordinate care with physicians, allied health professionals and nursing management.
• Document patient status, interventions and shift reports accurately.
• Initiate and lead emergency resuscitation (RESUS) when required.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, develop care plans and monitor patient progress.
• Contribute to policy, procedure and SOP development for the unit.

Required profile

• Qualified Registered Nurse with experience in intensive care.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to act as patient advocate.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families and the health‑care team.
• Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to nursing standards.

Required skills

• RESUS (resuscitation) competency.
