Registered Electrical Engineer – EPC Industry (Midrand)

About the role

The Registered Electrical Engineer will provide professional electrical engineering expertise for the planning, design, execution, and commissioning of EPC and infrastructure projects. The role ensures compliance with standards, safety, quality, budget, and schedule while delivering reliable and sustainable electrical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and approve electrical designs, calculations, specifications and drawings.
• Provide technical support and expertise throughout project life‑cycle.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, statutory regulations and project specifications.
• Support procurement, evaluate electrical equipment and review contractor submissions.
• Contribute to project planning, cost estimates, risk assessments and quality assurance.
• Assist with testing, commissioning and hand‑over activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Pr. Eng. registration with ECSA.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in EPC, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Experience with power systems, LV/MV distribution, substations or renewable energy.
• Knowledge of SANS, IEC and NRS standards.
• South African citizen or permanent resident.
