Regional Sales Manager – Pretoria & Surrounds

About the role

Dr Reddy's is seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to lead its pharmaceutical sales efforts in Pretoria and surrounding areas. The role focuses on driving sales performance, building strong client relationships, and aligning the team with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Professional Sales Representatives to meet territory sales targets, SFE and call objectives.
• Optimize sales activities across the territory through daily field visits, coaching, and performance monitoring.
• Support planning and execution of divisional initiatives such as conferences, speaker programs and promotional events (CMEs/CDPs).
• Develop and execute strategic sales action plans in line with marketing and sales strategies.
• Engage personally with key stakeholders – GPs, specialists and pharmacists – to drive business performance.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date database of targeted clients within the designated territory.
• Collaborate with the Key Account Manager and National Sales Manager to identify and capitalize on regional business opportunities.
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly business review presentations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in pharmaceutical line management within South Africa’s private sector.
• Proven leadership of pharmaceutical sales teams with a strong record of achieving sales targets.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Experience in cross‑functional collaboration and client‑focused business development.
